UNESCO-BAFED collaboration has stemmed from the felt need of establishing a regular Researchers' Forum in order to provide a platform for the presentation of findings of educational research to enhance the visibility of such educational research and recognition by the community and education policy makers. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by UNESCO Dhaka and BAFED establishing the Researchers' Forum clearly enunciating the respective role of UNESCO and BAFED and functions and activities to be undertaken.

• Establishing linkages among educational institutions both government and nongovernmental, development partners and other relevant agencies and promoting collaboration in conducting research.

• Collecting educational research reports and facilitating their availability to interested people; Preparation of an Annotated Bibliography of Educational Research and publishing it periodically.

• Publishing half-yearly Educational Journals both in English and Bangla.

• Preparation of a Directory of Educational Researchers and updating it regularly.

• Preparation of a Directory of Research Institutions and Organizations and up-dating it regularly.

• Organizing seminars, conferences and roundtable discussions of the Researchers' Forum for providing opportunities for presentation of the findings of educational research.
