Training Programme on
ECCED: |

BAFED developed a training
package on ECCED for 40 hours including theoretical part and
practical work. The programme also includes campaign/orientation
activities, such as, distribution of leaflets on healthy toys,
good parenting, role of physicians and people's representatives,
e.g., City Mayors, Parliamentarians, Community Leaders and other
stakeholders: Parents, Physicians, Teachers, and others. |

Community Learning Assistance project (CLAP)' of Plan
Bangladesh in June 2003.

conducted 'A Research Study on Early Childhood Care, Education
and Development (ECCED)' and submitted the Report in August
2002.

BRAC Nonformal Primary School Children of Grade III in 1995.

undertaken on Effectiveness and Desirability of the Continuous
Pupils' Assessment (CPA) Scheme in classes I & II of primary

Underprivileged Children's Educational Programme of a NGO,

community participation in management and maintenance of
primary schools.

Action Programme: |
|
BAFED
organized 3 Non-formal Basic and Vocational Education
Schools for Working Children in Dhaka University area. The
Schools were started with financial assistance from ILO/IPEC,
Dhaka Office. Then the schools were managed through sponsorship
programme. Besides providing basic education equivalent to
formal primary schools, vocational skills were also available
for the working children/adolescents. |
